Our fire-rated site cabins are based on the Containex open-plan temporary buildings, tailored to provide purpose-designed safety and efficiency. Designed to meet the stringent requirements of the Joint Code of Practice for Fire Prevention on Construction Sites, our fire-rated cabins ensure enhanced protection. We can provide cabins with a fire-rating of 30 minutes or a minimum of 60 minutes (from inside to out), safeguarding both building occupants and adjacent properties from fire hazards.

To comply with the latest codes, section 13.2 advises that temporary buildings maintain a clear fire break of less than 6 meters from ongoing construction or refurbishment projects and other permanent structures. The code recommends striving for a fire break of at least 10 meters wide, acknowledging that while ideal, it's not always feasible in every construction scenario. In cases where providing a 10m wide fire break is not possible, ensuring a minimum of 6m wide fire break is considered necessary to significantly reduce fire risks. If achieving a 6m clear fire break is impractical, the temporary building must be fire-rated in accordance with section 13.3 of the code to maintain safety standards.
